Imposter Syndrome: Name it to Tame it

Shifting from What’s Wrong to What’s Strong: Character Strengths in the Workplace
75% of female executives experience imposter syndrome during their careers (KPMG, 2020). The internal self-doubt, fear of failure, and persistent feeling of not-being-good enough create an additional layer of stress and increase the risk of burnout. But imposter syndrome is not inevitable. Participants in this workshop will learn to combat imposter syndrome by increasing self-awareness and learning evidence-based strategies for addressing these unhelpful thoughts head-on. This workshop is perfect for onboarding, summer associates, people starting their careers, people who’ve recently been promoted, and women’s groups.
A strengths-based approach is good for employee engagement, belonging, and performance. Did you know
-
70% of people who know and use their strengths at work report being engaged and feeling like they can make things happen (VIA Strengths at Work Survey, 2015).
-
People who report using their strengths at work every day are 6 times more likely to be engaged at work and 8% more productive (Gallop, 2015).
In this thoughtful, interactive session, participants will identify their signature character strengths and learn how to leverage them to drive better outcomes. A strengths-based approach means we learn how to lean into our strengths and see strengths in others, rather than being overly focused on what’s wrong.
